To enhance and further consolidate Sri Lanka’s long-standing friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation with Brazil and nine (9) other Latin American countries in the fields of political dialogue, bilateral and multilateral trade, economic cooperation, investment promotion, tourism development, scientific and technological collaboration, education, and socio-cultural exchange, while fostering greater mutual understanding, trust, and partnership among the nations. In addition, to actively promote Sri Lanka’s national interests through effective diplomatic engagement, strategic representation, and continuous collaboration with relevant stakeholders in the region.
Furthermore, to ensure the provision of efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused consular services, safeguarding the rights, safety, dignity, and welfare of Sri Lankan citizens residing, working, studying, or traveling abroad. This includes offering timely assistance, guidance, and protection in all consular matters and emergencies.
